and more.

Hello there! I'm Lugue Henriques — a bassist from Londrina, Brazil, now living in Berlin as a freelancer. I have been a musician/music teacher for over ten years and had the honour to share the stage with Arrigo Barnabé, Tetê Espíndola and many other artists of multiple genres. When I get off stage, I teach: bass, acoustic and electric guitar and also music theory. Online anywhere in the world, or in person in Berlin. The world would be a better place if we just grooved a lil’ bit more, you know?!

The stage is
my home.

My skillset comes from being really technique focused but also having played all kinds of genres. In Brazil, there was a time I was in 13 different bands, from Jazz, Funk to Metal and Prog Rock. My latest record came out in December 2025 with Aminoácido and Brazilian avant-garde legend Arrigo Barnabé and it is called Aminoarrigo. In Germany, I have played from Schlaga to Brazilian Rap and Maracatu, so whatever you need as a freelance, I am your guy.

Bass

Groove, feeling, technique. Understanding what the music needs but also expanding your language as a musician.

Guitar

Chords, comping, Brazilian rhythms, and the funk that makes a room move. Great if you're starting fresh or you're a bassist widening out.

Music theory

The useful kind — how songs breathe, why a line works, how to stop guessing. Taught through songs you already love, never dusty worksheets.

I'm a complete beginner. Is that okay?

More than okay — a lot of my students start from zero. We move at your pace and it's meant to be fun.

Do you teach online?

Yes, to students all over the world over video. You just need your instrument and a decent connection.

In person in Berlin?

Yes!

Bass, guitar, or theory — which should I pick?

Whatever you are feeling at the moment. We can mix it up if you feel like it.

I don't own a bass yet.

We'll talk before you spend a cent — I'll help you find something that won't hold you back or break the bank.

Which language?

Lessons in English or Portuguese, whichever feels natural for you.

Bringing the groove
from Londrina to Berlin.

I grew up in Londrina, Brazil, where bass is basically a second heartbeat — rock, funk, soul. These days I'm in Berlin, playing as a freelancer for various artists and teaching students all over the world. I've been lucky, genuinely lucky, to share stages with people I idolized such as Arrigo Barnabé. Teaching became one of my favorite parts about music: getting to share knowledge and energy is something I will never take for granted. You don't need talent or theory to start — just an instrument, a bit of curiosity, and a song you can't stop humming.
